Answer: This is an extract, thus the purist liquid form. It's not a concentrate, like you may find in capsules. I hope this helps you. -

Answer: I’m not sure but it’s trash!!!!! I’ve literally poured entire teaspoons into my tea and NOTHING. absolute NOTHING!!! -
Question: Does this need to be refrigerated after opening?
Answer: I didn't refrigerate mine. I just kept it on my spice rack. I'm sure you could. I usually freeze my fresh ginger and use it as necessary. Doing so allows me to keep ginger on hand at all times, because freezing it can keep it up to 2 years. I think it probably is the same with extract. You can refrigerate it and it will keep the shelf life of the extract longer. I don't need to keep the extract for long periods of time because I cook with it and infuse it in my tea, so I don't refrigerate mine. -
Question: why does this not smell like ginger at all? and why is it black and not yellowish? is there any ginger in this?
Answer: This is ginger root extract. The only other ingredients besides the ginger root are vegetable glycerin and purified water. I use this in juice and it helps settle my stomach. It's not the same as ground ginger. Have you tasted it yet? It does taste like ginger if you use too many drops. -
