Question: How to you get the oil to come out? I can't seem to get any oil to come out of the bottle
Answer: You have to shake it at a sideways angle, so the air can get in there and push it out. Its a pain. The bottles should be plastic so you can squeeze it, like my other bottles of smellys are. -
Question: Can these be used on the skin?
Answer: When you read the description for this product its says "...Perfect for Baths, Body and Hair Care, Homemade Lotions, Candles, Candle Wax, Soy Wax, Soap Base, Perfumes, Cleaning,..." I would take this to mean that you need to dilute the product in a carrier oil, lotion or other base carrier product. Here is what I found on their website. -Good Essential offers Fragrance Oils specifically formulated to be suitable for addition to soaps, candles, and both skin & hair care formulations. Our scents are rich, complex, and long lasting. Each Good Essential Fragrance Oil can be used individually or blended with additional fragrance oils to create a new scent.- If you purchase and decide to use it undiluted, do a patch test on your skin first. -
Question: What oils make up the ocean breeze?
Answer: Peppermint and Eucalyptu -
Question: Is this product vegan?
Answer: I don't believe it is. -
Question: Are these gluten free?
Answer: It is uncertain what kind of facility it’s manufactured in. If you have celiac that affects skin or super sensitive to anything that could get onto lips from skin contact, I’d strongly caution. (To our friends, gluten isn’t in just food, some have to watch lipstick, shampoo, makeup, moisturizer, etc. depending on severity and type of reactions with celiac disease or gluten sensitivities.) I’d recommend a trusted or legacy brand. -
Question: Can it be used for lip scrubs?
Answer: I wouldn't recommend it as people tend to lick their lips and this is a fragrance scent not essential oil and it is for external use only. But know that they smell amazing -
Question: How much do you use per lb for candles?
Answer: For one pound of soy wax, you need 1 ounce of fragrance oil to get a 6% fragrance load (kind of the minimum smell factor). You will need 1.6 ounces of fragrance oil to get a 10% fragrance load (which is the maximum you can put in soy wax before it effects everything). These bottles are .17 fluid ounces. You will need to use almost 6 of the bottles to get the minimum smell factor and 9 1/2 bottles to get the maximum smell factor. These bottles are probably meant to be used in a diffuser and not in candle making unless you are making a pretty small candle. It would be better to buy a larger bottle of one scent instead. -
Question: Are these water soluble?
Answer: No oil will dissolve into water without an emulsifiier. -
Question: Are they natural?
Answer: I don’t think so. I personally think there are some good scents in the bunch & so very not natural ones. I can’t imagine anything that has a chemically type undertone to some smells being “natural”. Don’t get wrong I use them mixed in my warmer & smells good. However, I wouldn’t put them in anything I make & sell.
