      Answer: No need to calibrate. This thermometer comes all calibrated and ready to go in either Fahrenheit or Celsius. I love mine. Accurate and very easy to use.

      Answer: I DON’T KNOW,THE THERMOMETER HAS ONLY TOUCHED WOOD,GRANITE AND PORCELAIN.

      Answer: No there is no way to connect the thermometer to the app.
    • Question: Has anyone else received this in an opened package , taped closed and with a dead battery?

      Answer: No. Mine arrived with a factory seal on both ends of the package, and the battery was working (and still is, after 6 months). Everything about this thermometer works fine. It's accurate and for the price I would highly recommend.
    • Question: How to disinfect the tip?

      Answer: I don't know if this the best way, but I wipe the tip with a cotton ball and either alcohol or hydrogen peroxide.
