    • USE: NYOrtho gait belts allow safe handling and mobility of elderly or weak-jointed patients. Gait belts help caregivers provide support and prevent falls. NYOrtho gait belts also protect the back of caregivers and reduce the risk of back injury while assisting the patient.
    • EASY ON AND OFF BUCKLE: Delrin (plastic) buckles allow for a secure hold and easy on and off. Also available with durable nickel-plated buckle.
    • INSTRUCTIONS: Place the belt around the patient's waist with the buckle at the center of the patient's waist. To fasten the seat belt, simply grasp the plastic buckle to close it. Pull the metal tipped end to tighten around the waist to ensure a secure fit.
    • MACHINE WASHABLE: NYOrtho gait belts are machine washable warm and tumble dry low to maintain pristine condition.

    Very sturdy belt
    I recently bought a gait belt from another company, and when it arrived, it was very thin and lightweight. I was very pleased when this one arrived. It is very heavy duty, which is what you need for long term use with a disabled adult. I am very pleased.

    Great belt
    This is a great gait belt, sturdy and my dad likes having a less obvious color (we got navy blue). He is around 170 pounds and it fits him well with room to spare. Considering we often have to support much of his weight with this during transfers, I consider it very strong and durable.
