Question: How do you know which size to use? Is there a size chart? What are the instructions for heating or cooling?
Answer: If you are hoping to use your TheraICE Ice Pack for your knee, measure the circumference 2 inches above your knee. If you want to use it for other areas, measure the largest circumference of the area. For a size Small, it would be 9-12 inches. For a Medium, 13-16 inches. A Large would be, 17-20 inches. An X-Large would, 21-26 inches. When freezing your TheraICE Ice Pack, place sleeve in the freeze bag provided, or a ziplock freezer bag, and put in freezer for at least two hours. For heating, remove the sleeve from any plastic bags. Make sure the sleeve is at room temperature. Microwave for 10 seconds. If more heat is needed, continue to microwave in 5-second increments. Use caution; microwaves may vary. -
Question: Is it ok to leave in the freezer daily until use. Or will the longevity of the sleeve be compromised?
Answer: As long as you keep it in a bag (the one that it came with or the zip log freezer bag I now use) it will be fine. I keep mine in the freezer at all times. It has not changed in the slightest. Originally I used it daily now only when needed. -

Question: How long does it stay cold?
Answer: About 10mins. I use it on my knee and the added support is very beneficial. I keep it on for about 4hrs. every a.m. and even after I take it off, my knee still feels good--less pain and easier to walk. -
Question: How do i clean it?
Answer: To clean our TheraICE Rx Hot & Cold Compression Sleeve and any of our other products, please Wipe with a damp towel. Do not submerge in water. If the product gets wet, simply allow air dry. -
Question: Does the heat go to the inside of the elbow where the arm flexes?
Answer: Thank you for your question. When heating the TheraIce Rx Hot & Cold Compression Sleeve in the microwave, the entire sleeve will become warm for 360 degree coverage. This includes the inside (and outside) of the elbow when placed on that area. -
Question: Is it ok to leave in the freezer daily until use. Or will the longevity of the sleeve be compromised?
Answer: Yes, you can keep your TheraICE sleeve in the freezer until you are ready to use it. It should not change the effectiveness of your sleeve. -
Question: Can anyone tell me what the awful chemical smell is?? I have this in 2 sizes and both have the same smell that has not dissipated one bit. Toxic???
Answer: I have the same issue. My arm is clean when it is used but it still stinks. I am going to try and clean it tonight, but I am unsure if I can use soap. Sounds like just a wet/damp towel which, to me, wouldn’t clean a smell off.
