      Answer: No, This version does not contain Octocrylene or Homosalate. Unlike other Safe Sea products that protect from sun and jellyfish stings, The Safe Lotion doesn't protects from the sun and doesn't contain sun filters.
    • Question: When do you apply this? Before or after sunscreen?

      Answer: I always did it before the sunscreen,..... allowed it to dry and then applied the sunscreen

    • Question: How is this different than sun bum 50 spf? the ingredients on both bottles are exactly the same. wouldn't putting on the sun bum have the same affect?

      Answer: Hello, The two products are different in their ingredients, there are two main differences: 1. This Safe Sea lotion product does not contain sun filters and does not protect you from the sun, only from Jellyfish (other Safe Sea products protects both from sun and Jellyfish). 2. The sun bum sunscreen does not contain Jellyfish protection ingredients, therefore, it will protect you from the sun, but not from Jellyfish and Sea lice.
    • Question: Is it more effective to put it on before or after sunscree ?

      Answer: It is not recommended to apply Safe Sea with another sunscreen. This might cause both Safe Sea and the Sunscreen to loose their water resistance. For best results, Use the Safe Sea products that contain both Sun and Jellyfish protection. For example, Safe Sea SPF50+ lotion. It is an excellent sunscreen.

    Decent Protection
    Safe Sea lotion did a decent job in protecting me from jellyfish stings and sea lice bites. However, I would have preferred a higher SPF version for added sun protection.

    Effective and Safe

    You need to be careful what you wear in the water - don’t bring chemicals into the rivers.
