Answer: Top opening is 7/8, width of top is 1 1/4, width of bottom is 2in. Hope this helps. For me I ordered the tip that has 4 feet. -

Question: How do you get the tips off the canes to replace with strongarm comfort cane self standing base?
Answer: Twist & Pull - The tip is not attached with any adhesive, so you don't need any special tools or chemicals to remove it. The first thing to try is to turn the cane upside down and grasp the rubber tip firmly. Twist the tip while pulling to remove it from the cane. You might have to work with it for a few minutes. It's possible that the tip might not come loose at this point. If not, try this next method. Break the Suction - Insert a bobby pin down between the cane and the rubber tip to release the suction. If you don't have a bobby pin, you can try some other type of tool as long as it isn't too thick and doesn't have sharp edges that might damage the rubber. Insert and remove the tool in several spots between the cane and the sides of the tip to release the suction. Then grasp the rubber tip firmly and pull while twisting to remove it. If you are still not successful in removing the tip from the plastic cane, you can try the next method. Apply heat - The easiest way to apply heat is to use a hairdryer. This method might work best after breaking the suction with a bobby pin. You also should wear a pair of gloves to avoid having to touch the heated rubber tip. Point the heated air from the hairdryer where the rubber tip and cane meet. The heated air could soften the rubber and allow it to more easily come loose from the cane. After heating the area all around where the tip meets the cane, try inserting the bobby pin. Then, grasp the tip with your gloved hand and pull and twist the tip until it comes loose. If you are unable to remove the tip using these 3 methods, you might want to ask a friend or a neighbor for their help in removing the tip. Removing the rubber tip can be difficult, but it is not impossible to do. -
Question: Can you use with either arm?
Answer: Yes, the StrongArm® Comfort Cane has a universal handle for either the right, left, or both arms for extra support. -
Question: Is there a right hand or left hand model?
Answer: It doesn't apply. Left or Right, it works the same. If you only want the outward full "wrap" side to face the outer side of your arm, then no, this would be right handed only. However, because of the way it wraps around, you can use it with either arm. It's a fantastic piece and has been a life saver for my husband. Since the support comes from the "u' shaped part wrapping around the back of your forearm, the fact it's wrapping outward or inward (depending on the arm used) doesn't matter... you get the same support either way.
