Answer: No, it is not a polished stainless finish on the inside of the bowl. Its a brushed/medium grind on the inside which can trap the fine powder it creates while crushing pills. Takes a bit of scrubbing to get all of the residue out but it is not a polished finish which would make it virtually non-stick. -
Question: Can you grind fresh herbs with this?
Answer: Not recommended. It is designed for hard pills. Fresh herbs would be better chopped. -

Answer: The pestle is 5 1/4 inches long. -

Answer: The mortar (bowl) is 3 7/8 inches in diameter and 3 3/8 inches tall. The pestle (crusher) is 5 1/4 inches long. The parts are sturdy and heavy. It does not slide, tip or wobble no matter how much pressure you apply. -

Answer: Sorry, I do not quite understand your question. But, I will say that I love this Mortar and Pestle. It is heavy weight and works the best of any have ever had. Cleans nicely. Been very pleased.
