    • Question: What is the power in diopters? 30x would be a microscope, are you sure it is not 3 Diopters?

      Answer: 30x is correct.
    • Question: Do you guys really think it has 30X?

      Answer: No, definitely not 30 power.

      Answer: I believe it is but I don’t have a way to actually test that.
    • Question: What is the lcompany that makes them?

      Answer: I assume Dicfeos is the name of the company. The box they came in says the products were made in China. That would not have been my first choice, but I must say I was happy with the product, and the package arrived in a timely manner. I even ordered a second set.
    • Question: does usb charge battery?

      Answer: Sort of charges! I am not impressed because I think it only charges the battery when it is turned on.
    • Question: so is the unit rechargeable, or when in the usb mode, it needs to stay plugged in? thanks!

      Answer: The unit has to be plugged in to work. Plug the power cord into magnifying glass, plug USB fitting on the power cord into a USB charger and plug the charger into an outlet. If you unplug any of the adapters, the lights on the magnifying glass will not work (i.e. I could find no battery in the unit)
    • Question: What does glass measure across including frame? Also, what is depth measurement of frame?

      Answer: Diameter of magnifying glass is 3 3/8 inches. The depth of the frame is ~5/8 inch.
    • Question: Shows both 10x & 4x, which is it??????

      Answer: Mine are 10x. I don't know what the 4x reference is for.
    • Question: what is the diameter of the magnifying glass itself?

      Answer: Diameter of magnifying lens 3 3/8 inches. Measurement does not include black/orange outer casing.
    • Question: If I put in rechargeable batteries and plug it in will it recharge the batteries or will it just run off power instead? I’ve seen different answers.

      Answer: This device is not designed to recharge batteries. You have only two ways to use this item - regular batteries - or plug in the USB to get power to the dismal lights.

    A little cumbersome
    Have to hand hold it most projects, has a back up power cord lots of light.

    DECEPTIVE DESCRIPTION - NO BATTERIES INCLUDED!!
    The lights are very bright and magnifies well. I did not like having to go the the reviews to find out that the supposedly built-in batteries are not included nor are there instructions as how to open the battery compartment. Again, I found out by reading the reviews. The supplier should be required to change their posting to reflect the need for 3 AA batteries. To open the battery compartment, it appears like there are 2 possibilities - to push down on the tab right below the mirror or the horizontal slot below it. Since neither worked at first, the instructions gave no specific directions or illustration, and I wasn't going to force it, I had to search through several of the reviews until I found one that told me how to open the compartment. That shouldn't have been necessary!
