Answer: That is a good question.Accuracy (Laboraty) Forehead/Ear Mode: ±0.2℃(±0.4℉)/ Object Mode: ±1℃ (±1.8℉).If you're measuring ear temperature or frontal temperature, the difference is fine. Question: Why does the thermometer keep reading "LO"?
Answer: “LO ”means the temperature is not in the range, not a low battery. This means the temperature is lower than 32C(89.6F). Question: How to use this thermometer??？
Answer: Take your forehead temperature Position the thermometer probe at the forehead, hold the button/Take off the probe cover.fit the probe snugly into the ear canal. -
Question: How do you switch to forehead mode? The forehead cover is on but it shows that it is in ear mode. Defective perhaps?
Answer: Without removing the cover, you can press the button against the forehead (this is a contact thermometer, the most accurate measurement is close to the forehead); when measuring the ear temperature, remove the cover, put it in the ear hole, and press the button.If you still can't, please contact customer service, we are happy to serve you. -
Question: Are there any videos on how to swipe for temporal reading? It is quite away off from oral thermometer reading.
Answer: I just place it in the center of my forehead and swipe it to the left or right. A forehead reading will be higher than both ear or oral. -
Question: I cannot turn the beep on! it was muted the very first time i powered it up. using the method to mute does not work in reverse.how do i get my beep?
Answer: The beep is very quiet so you have to listen closely. It does beep two times then take it away from ear and the you should automatically get a reading in the window. Hope this helps. -
Question: I do not hear a beep even though the mute button is off. What’s up with that?
Answer: On my unit, the beep is very low volume. It could be easily missed in a noisy environment. -
Question: Does it accurately measure the temperature of the forehead and ear or foods?
Answer: Short answer, NO. If you sequentially take 5 temps from the same spot, you'll get 5 different readings. Very disappointed in this device. I suppose it proves "You get what you pay for."
