Customer Questions & Answers
-
Question: is the handle made of plastic or molded right into the cane itself?
Answer: The plastic handle is glued into the shaft. Four months after purchase the handle came off and sent me down the stairs. I am 5.9 135#'s. This should not have failed like it did. Avoid this product. Stick with the offset style handle canes to avoid injury or death. -
Question: Is there a weight limit for use?
Answer: Horrible and unsafe product. I am 5.9 135#'s. The handle came off of this cane sending me down the stairs. -
Question: What is the size of the base in inches?
Answer: The 4 “feet” that extend slightly from under the base measure 3 7/8” tip to tip. The base is about 3.5” in diameter. The cane stands by itself on most surfaces. It is the best cane I have owned. -
Question: What is the Maximum Angle of the pivot?
Answer: I don't know but I can say my mother loves hers. -
Question: is there a way to secure the base from unscrewing?
Answer: i had the same problem. I wrapped the base of the cane in clear packing tape and pressed the base back on... not ideal but it was broken pretty quick -
Question: Honeybull cane holds up to what weight
Answer: I am 5.9 and 135 pounds. In under two months of use the handle came off as I was going to down the stairs. Luckily I was able to catch myself on the handrail and limited my injuries. Other have noted the handle itself actually breaking apart at the molded seam. Stick with the offset bent tube style canes. There is no risk of injury or death from handle failure. -
Question: is the handle made of plastic or molded right into the cane itself?
Answer: The handle is connected to the upper portion of the cane. The handle is solid, not hollow, not cheap plastic but I don't know the material. All of the information that they provide on the page for the cane,(scroll down several pages for every bit of the information listed for the product). The cane is a great purchase, my 90 year old patient gets much use out of it, getting up to use restroom at night, she uses the cane for support, she takes it to the mailbox and it stands next to her while she puts her key in the mailbox, etc...JUST BUY THE CANE, YOUR WASTING TIME THINKING ABOUT IT, WHICH IS WHAT I DID. Wish I had purchased it sooner. Take from this what you will, stay safe. -
Question: What size batterie does it take ?
Answer: No battery with this cane. No reason. -
Question: On the shaft of cane where it goes into itself a locking mechanism. Is this suppose to lock the shaft so you can’t pull it apart?
Answer: I am not about your question. When you want to fold, you have to pull the shaft apart. When you are using the cane, it is very stable - no danger of folding. There is some tension cords inside of the shaft that keeps it stable Hope that answers your questions. -
Question: Will this cane work for a person that is 6'0 ft tall and weighs 228?
Answer: I would avoid this cane. Bought it for my husband who is 6'2" and 190 pounds. He assembled it, then tried to use it. All the places that have connections and folding felt very unstable. We shipped it back within an hour, and ordered a different cane. It maybe OK for short people, but when ot's all stretched out to full length it's very unstable.
