    Overview

The Oral B 1000 rechargeable toothbrush provides a clinically proven superior clean vs. A regular manual toothbrush. The professionally inspired design of the CrossAction brush head surrounds each tooth with bristles angled at 16 degrees, and 3D Cleaning Action oscillates, rotates, and pulsates to break up and remove up to 300% more plaque along the gumline than a regular manual toothbrush. The pressure sensor stops pulsations if you brush too hard to prevent harmful over-brushing and there is 1 mode, plus an in-handle timer to help you brush for a dentist-recommended 2 minutes. Trust in the precision engineering of Braun and the dental expertise of Oral B, the #1 brand used and recommended by dentists worldwide. 100. Customer Questions & Answers

    • Question: Is this brush supposed to automatically turn off after 2 minutes of use?

Answer: It does not. Every 30 seconds it vibrates to let you know you can move to a different part of your mouth. When it reaches 2 minutes it vibrates for a longer period to let you know it's reached its 2 minute mark but continues to run just in case you don't feel like you've done enough.
    • Question: I need a 220-240 voltage Oral B electric toothbrush does anyone know if this toothbrush has such an option? I do not want to use a converter.tks

Answer: Easy peasy! You can buy a 3rd party 110-240 volt charger on-line for about $10-25. Keep in mind--the toothbrush has a rechargeable battery--it's not a specific voltage, that's provided by the battery charger. These chargers are identical in weight/size/appearance to the 110 that comes with the US product. You will need to stick on a plug adapter for other countries, as these come with US plugs. Since I live in the US, I keep this charger in my travel kit.
    • Question: Has anyone had issues with the timer not working on this toothbrush? I have bought 2 and the toothbrush will not turn it self off.

Answer: Mine does not turn it self off, it pauses 4 times (4 regions of the mouth) then stutters the 5th time a couple times and keeps going. I didn't think it was supposed to turn it self off. I wouldn't want it to either because after the four regions I keep going on my tongue roof of mouth then just hit the button that my finger is already resting on to turn it off. Not an issu
    • Question: Is this brush good for wisdom teeth

Answer: Yes, this is the best electric toothbrush I've used, and my dentist agrees - I just left the office after having a cavity filled. Only a week after an ultrasonic cleaning, there was significant plaque build up at the cavity site. He asked what was going on and I told him I'd switched to a $200 Sonicare about a year ago. We talked about the fact that this brush has a smaller circular head that allows one to get around and in between teeth better. After 5 years with no cavities while using the Pro, then a huge cavity after switching to the Sonicare, I'm immediately buying another Oral-B. Reckon I'll use the Sonicare for cleaning grout, but I won't risk using it on my teeth again.
    • Question: Brush head doesn't fit on tightly or lock on. Are you supposed to hear it click when it's on all the way or did I get a faulty unit maybe?

Answer: There is a notch near the top of the metal piece where head sits. The notch enables the head to click on. Thing is, the metal can break at the notch and it's almost unnoticeable. I had one fall in the shower and land on the metal piece. I thought the toothbrush was fine but I was wrong. The toothbrush continued to work the heads no longer snapped in place.
    • Question: How do you recharge the battery?

Answer: The base should have a plug an cord which plugs into an outlet. The body of the toothbrush then should fit securely into the base which charges the battery in the body of the toothbrush. There are indicator lights to show what is happening. All of this is explained in the instructions which came with the toothbrush.
    • Question: I have had mine for about 6 years and now it won't hold its charge for more than 20 seconds. What is the normal life of this toothbrush?

Answer: I have had this toothbrush for 26 months, the charge now lasts for 5 days before the light starts to blink indicating recharge is necessary, I have been using the brush 2 x per day for the full 2 minutes each time I brush for the last few months, before that I would only go about 30-45 seconds, last trip to the dentist she told me to go the full 2 minutes, so I have been. I think I will try to get another year out of the toothbrush, having the cord out all the time gets in the way in my bathroom.
    • Question: What is the purpose of the holes on the front and back of the brush about 1/2 way down the brush?

Answer: The openings are designed to allow water to flush through the brush head tube, and to also allow air inside. This venting ensures the brush head dries sufficiently after use and also reduces moisture inside the tube. It's important to always rinse your brush head thoroughly after each use to prevent residue from building up and blocking the openings. The Oral-B Team

Oral-B Pro 1000 CrossAction Electric Toothbrush, Green reviews by customers

    Great toothbrush
This toothbrush makes our teeth feel so much cleaner than we ever felt with Sonicare. And at a fraction of the price. Teeth actually look cleaner too. Fantastic.

    Clean and shining
The Oral B toothbrush does the job cleaning. It has 3 speeds. However the indented button to turn it on and lower speeds is very difficult to operate. It is not very sensitive to the touch so it becomes a major ordeal to lower the speed or turn it off. The timer function is very useful. My teeth always feel fresh afterwards.

    Great toothbrush but quit working!
I purchased these on February 24, 2023 - we loved them out of the box! They worked great. Yesterday my husband's quit working and today mine quit. Is there a way to reset them? Or is there a warranty?

    The kids love it!

    The toothbrush operates as said
The problem is the turnoff button. It takes too much pressure to enact the button. Maybe i just have a flawed toothbrush.
