Question: Does this get permsnentky screwed to ground or cam i just lay it where needed?
Answer: I use it over threshold of sliding glass doorNo does not need th be screwed down.I did remove the bars under neath so it would fix better.I lay it in place and pick it up and remove .We use for wheelchair.I do wish it was at least 1 or 2 inches bigger.But it works for us. -

Question: For the nbr40 model, the picture shows the space between the supports as 6.3", but under product description it's written as 5.3". which is it?

Question: can this ramp be used in the shower to get over ledge?
Answer: I think the ramp will work as long as the shower ledge is not higher than one and a half inches tall. Mine is 3 inches and the ramp wouldn’t work in my shower. -
Question: I see a previous response that this would not support a power wheelchair. If this supports 600 lbs. why wouldn’t it work with a power wheelchair?
Answer: I had this and returned it because it did not fit the threshold where I needed it. It was large, sturdy and well made. If you know the weight of the electric chair and the weight of the person and it equals the weight load guidelines, it will work with any kind of chair, electric or not. You must carefully measure the threshold you are placing it over to ensure it fits and is stable. Pay particular attention to the height and the width of the channel in the middle of the ramp and make sure it matches where you want to place it. It should match or the ramp will have a teeter totter effect and will not be safe. If it is over a doorway, the door will not close over the ramp, you have to pick it up to close the door. If the measurements fit this could be a lifesaver for a wheelchair bound person to move from room to room. I wish it had worked for my mom. Measure measure measure. Best of luck -

Answer: It can be moved, just put it where you need to use it, and take it away when you don't need it.
