Question: Does this device pull the sock up to the ankle or up the leg?
Answer: Up to the leg. as you place foot into device pull and slide foot down as your foot enters sock. You then have to hand pull sock towards knee as you adjust. -
Question: Is the device onto which you slip your socks, made of foam or plastic?
Answer: Hi, The device which you slip your sock on is made of plastic. From all the different devices I have seen, I like this one the best (That goes for both pieces.) The device that you slip the sock on has two separate ropes, with handles, and is much better than others that have one continuous rope. The long part can be pulled apart for easier travel. It works very well. I use it every day. -
Question: would this work for a stroke victim with limited use of one hand?
Answer: To keep it short, yes! The aid has 2 rope handles that are long enough that they can be held in one hand to pull the device up the leg, bringing the sock with it. As long as the user has normal or close to normal grip strength in at least one hand, it should work just fine! Might take a little practice at first, but I think it will work just fine! -
Question: does it works for men size 10 wide feet
Answer: I wear a size 12 wide and have been dealing with swollen feet and legs for almost a year, so Yes. -
Question: Does it work with compression socks?
Answer: For me yes but it takes a bit of learning. But I have low compression socks and fairly small feet. High compression socks would be difficult. -
Question: Which vive or jobst device works the best with compression socks?
Answer: Vive is super easy for my client. Haven't tried jobst.
