Question: Does it lay flat on a book?
Answer: Yes, this magnifier will lay flat on a book. -
Question: does it come with a case?
Answer: The magnifier does not come with a case. Most store in credit card slot of wallet or purse. Lens is recessed in frame which prevents scratching. -
Question: what material is the magnifying "glass" made from?
Answer: Each unit has a rigid plastic outer frame with plastic fresnel lens. -
Question: How long will end battery last?
Answer: I have one in my office that is four years old and the battery still works well. I can not say how long but can say with occasional use mine has lasted for years. -
Question: Is this rechargeable/ can I change the batteries? It looks too thin to have a battery. If this is disposable, it seems like a waste.
Answer: The battery is not rechargeable. However I have had and used one for multiple years without the need to replace the battery. Works fine as magnifier even when the light is not on. -
Question: Does the light stay on , or do you have to hold it down?
Answer: Light stays on only while button is pressed, releasing it turns light off. -
