Turn the cap clockwise till it is secured. 4. Turn ice bag upside down and firmly press on the bottom to test for leakage. 5. Apply to any area desired. 6. Apply ice bag for 20 to 30 minutes (maximum) at a time, and Hot water bag for 10~20 minutes (maximum) at a time. Continue to reapply after injury. Wait one hour between applications. Question: How is the bag feels? Like rubber or fabric?
Answer: Thank you for your question, this bag is made of Polyester fiber, will not hurt or stick to your skin when used as ice bag, which is totally different from plastic surface ice bag. Have a nice day! -

Answer: boiling from the tea kettle, had no problem -
Question: How can I use it for cold bag?
Answer: You add ice to it. -
Question: How is the 9" measured? This is small.
Answer: If you flatten the bag when it’s empty, it measures almost 9” in diameter. However, this bag will sweat on you. Highly recommend the Mueller brand bag over this one. -
Question: can you use reusable ice cubes?
Answer: A question for the manufacturer but I don't see why not. I bought 2 for double knee surgery and they worked great, no leaking and stayed cold for hours. -
Question: Can I put it in the freezer with water in it?
Answer: I haven't tried putting it in the freezer with water in it. I have only put ice cubes in it and used it that way. I will say, the ice bag itself is really small. I was thinking it would be adult size, but really, it's not. Quite tiny. -

Answer: Not one single leak for mine! I’m super happy with it. -
Question: Is it easy to get ice cubes in?
Answer: The circumference is big enough to put ice cubes ..it works good with both hot water and cold water/ice cubes... -

Answer: It has not leaked water in mine. -
Question: Is this machine washable?
Answer: I don't know if it's machine washable, but you can certainly hand wash it, which is what I did.
