Question: Can this thermometer be used on the wrist rather than forehead?
Answer: I tried it when I got your question and it appears you can -
Question: can it check dogs temp?
Answer: Relative values can be used on many things. If Jean's dog's temperature is 97º F on this machine, taken under the same physical conditions (at rest, time of day, etc.) and on the same spot on the body every time; and it is 101º F at the vet and the dog is well then the 97º F can be considered 'relative' to the dog's normal temperature, and any changes from that either up or down will be degrees hotter or cooler and will tell Jean whether the dog is experiencing difficulty or not. -
Question: What is the accuracy? Since it isn’t specified this is a nonstarter for me
Answer: The accuracy is as follows: +/- 0.4°F (+/-0.2°C) from 96.8°F (360.°C) to 102.2°F (39.0°C); +/-0.5°F (+/-0.3°C) from 89.6°F (32.0°C) to 96.6°F (35.9°C) and from 102.4°F (39.1°C) to 109.22°F (42.9°C). Please let us know if you have any additional questions. -

Answer: Not sure. The label is marked Menlo Park California but the bottom of the label says made in P.R.C. , Whatever that is. -

To change the °F to °C on your thermometer, when the power is off, hold the “Scan” button for 5 seconds until the current setting “°F” or “°C” bl Proceed to pressing the “Scan” button to switch from “°F” to “°C” or “°C” to “°F”. Press the “Power” button momentarily to confirm “°C” or “°F” and enter blue LED light ON/OFF mode. -
