      Answer: Thank you for your interest in Mucinex® FreeFrom Severe Congestion & Cough! The active ingredients are Dextromethorphan HBr 20 mg, Guaifenesin 400 mg, and Phenylephrine HCl 10 mg. The inactive ingredients are ammonium glycyrrhizate, anhydrous citric acid, edetate disodium, flavors, glycerin (soy), propylene glycol, purified water, sodium benzoate, sorbitol, sucralose, and xanthan gum. This product contains the artificial sweetener sucralose.
    • Question: Is it a decongessant?

      Answer: Yes, this is a decongestant. It contains fake chemical sweeteners though. It’s not as allergy friendly as advertised.
    • Question: Will this keep me awake or is it better to take before bedtime?

      Answer: Thank you for your question about Mucinex® FreeFrom Severe Congestion & Cough. The active ingredients in this product are guaifenesin, dextromethorphan, and phenylephrine. Guaifenesin is not known to cause drowsiness. Dextromethorphan has been shown to produce drowsiness in some patients. Phenylephrine is known to be a stimulant which can be considered non-drowsy. These three ingredients together cannot be considered non-drowsy due to the inclusion of dextromethorphan. We also recommend that you speak with your doctor regarding any concerns you may have before taking this product.

    It works!!
    I sometimes have severe chronic bronchial congestion that makes me feel like I can't breathe or maybe will choke. It's really scary sometimes, and that's when this stuff is a true God send! But here's the weird part. The more I use it, the more I feel like I don't have to use it that much. It seems to kind of break the cycle somehow. Now I must add a warning - it burns when you swallow it, and it makes you want to cough and even sneeze! I don't know why. I try to have water on hand to swallow it down so it doesn't make me cough too much. However, this is a small price to pay for the wonderful results! Also, despite the burning feeling, it really doesn't taste that bad. It is kind of a pleasant taste actually.

    Gets it done without extras 😊
    I'm diabetic so, sugar free helps. I am allergic to alcohol so, pleased to find this. No added dyes either. The price might seem steep, but you use less so it's a great deal. It really worked great for me & my family.
