      Answer: Proov turns positive when progesterone metabolites (PDG) in urine are above 5 ug/ml. Clinical studies show that 5 ug/ml PDG in the urine correlates to about a serum progesterone level of 10 ng/ml.
    • Question: Can you use these to track a canines progresterone levels for breeding??

      Answer: No, Proov tests only work on humans.
    • Question: I am on CD 5, and my control test had a very faint line. Is it still negative?

      Answer: Yes, if you see two lines, your test is negative. Please email us or join our private support group if you need some extra eyes to look at your test.
    • Question: Are these FDA approved?

      Answer: Yes, Proov Tests are FDA Cleared and are the first and only FDA Cleared at-home test to confirm ovulation.
    • Question: Took 2 tests from same urine sample @ 1dpo. 1- positive, 2- faint negative. Is it normal to have such high pdg @ 1dpo, and why test results dif?

      Answer: It is possible to have a positive test soon after ovulation, depending on how fast your PdG levels increase and what method you use to determine your ovulation date. If you have further questions, please email us at [email protected].
    • Question: If level starts to drop (line starts to darken) does that mean I am not pregnant or could I be pregnant and just need supplementation?

      Answer: If your PdG tests are not positive in the 7-10 days past peak window, this means we cannot confirm successful ovulation. You could have a problem with ovulation that makes conception difficult. Please call your doctor. They can diagnose and treat you.
    • Question: Can I use 2nd morning urine?

      Answer: Although the kit highly recommends 1st morning urine, you can use the 2nd & 3rd urine of the day. Just try to use concentrated urine if you are not testing first thing in the morning. Also, be sure to use them wisely.
    • Question: Does this measure how much progesterone there is?

      Answer: The tests are qualitative and provide only a yes/no answer. However, the threshold for a positive test is set to be 5ug/ml of PdG (urine progesterone metabolites), which is equivalent to ~10 ng/ml of serum progesterone.
