Question: How long are the bristles?
Answer: Without going to actually MEASURE them, I'd say approximately 4 inches. (Bristles are course for scrubbing; not soft like a broom). I used it to scrub my deck before sealing it. It worked great! No need to get on my hands & knees. Held up well. -
Question: Has anyone treated the inside of the handle to prevent rust? Mine was dripping rusty water during the first use.
Answer: It shouldn't be rusting if its new. I would return it. I have used and abused one of mine and it is still in great shape. -
Question: Can this be used on a composite deck level like Trex?
Answer: I'll be using it with the pressure washer on the side of the camper and house. I don't see any reason you couldn't use on a deck. -
Question: Can this be used to get stains out of carpets?
Answer: It's a scrub brush with a long handle so you don't need to be on your knees. I used it to clean the deck boards before applying protective stain. The stains in your carpet being removed will depend on what product you use. -
Question: Joints weaken the handle. This has 3 joints in addition to the brush connection. Will it withstand force applied by vigorous scrubbing?
Answer: It certainly worked for me...I scrubbed my carport. I had a oil stain and really went at it with this brush. It held up very well...came apart again with no trouble, cleaned up nicely...And it had its own bag to keep it in so the parts don't get lost.
