Answer: It didn’t say so in the instructions, all you can do is try it and see. I use saline with liquid Trusilva -

Answer: Yes! I use RO (Reverse Osmosis) water in mine with no issues. -
Question: Is this battery operated?
Answer: No this does not use batteries at all. It plugs into an outlet with plenty of cord to use it comfortably -
Question: Does the smell disappear after a week or two?
Answer: I never had a smell but I put essential oils in mine so that could be helping with a smell.
