Question: Unfortunately, the very end of the round part of the brush is getting pulled out of shape with each use. Anyone else having this problem?
Answer: All of you have convinced me to give this a try! So, I have purchased this! Just don’t have it, quite, yet!!! I do have to ask if anyone else is chuckling 🤭 about how, “Looking away as you pull out the brush,” might possibly help reshape the brush??? 😉 I know, I know… I admit that I am the World’s Worst Joke Teller… (or Joke Maker Upper! This, I know, because my adult children tell me!) 😂 I secretly am in disbelief that I am purchasing such a thing in the first place, because garbage disposals are a sink~y mess! 😳 Hope someone else finds the humor in this messy situation!!! 😆 And, sincerely, now, thanks 😊 for the tips, below! I have thought about how gross it would be to pull out the brush, quickly!!! I clicked the thumbs down symbol but can’t figure out how to change it!!! Question: Is the metal part stainless steel?
Answer: No. If you used a metal brush, like stainless steel, you'd nick and damage the disposal blades. These feel like some kind of stiff durable plastic bristles. -
Question: Where do you clean it after using it? Hopefully, not down the sink where it was just cleaned?
Answer: Good question. It's a challenge to get it in and out of the disposal entrance, so when you pull it out, the gunk that has gathered on it, splatters all over the sink, backsplash and the user. The second time I put a towel over it, but it still covered everything nearby. I wiped everything off with more paper towels, and yes, I rinsed the brush into the disposal. I think I at least loosened the gunk inside the disposal and it went down the drain. Not ideal, for sure. -
Question: Will this work better than a bottle brush would for cleaning the garbage disposal?
Answer: I have never tried a bottle brush to clean the disposal, but I think the advantage of this specially designed brush is that it accomplishes the task more quickly and with less effort.
