Question: How well does the handle stay together? I purchased a less expensive one that the handles screwed together, but the handles would fall apart.
Answer: The handle is made of stainless steel and screws together tightly. This broom set is very strong. -
Question: Highth without extension?
Answer: I'm not sure what you mean by extension, but the broom handle and dustpan handle come disassembled in several sections. If you wish to use either the dustpan or broom with just a short handle, you can use the top handle piece for each. The dustpan handle comes in three sections measuring 13.4", 13.4" and 13.2". When the top (handle) section is screwed directly into the dustpan (without using the bottom and middle sections) the top of the handle is 13.5" above the top of the dustpan (17.5" above the floor). When all three sections are used, the top of the handle measures 42.2" above the floor. When using only the top (handle) section on the broom, the lenght from the top of the handle to the end of the bristles is 19.2". If all four sections of the broom handle are used, the length is 55.0". All four of the broom handle sections are 13.4" long. Of course, since they thread together, each section only has an effective length of 12.0" whe assembled. I hope this is helpful. -

Answer: After you have swept up some dust into the pan, turn the pan so the opening is away from you and lightly press your foot on the pan just behind the handle, then move the handle away from you and the pan will unlatch from the sweeping position. You can then easily flip the pan up for carrying to a dust bin. Flip the pan down again to empty it. The brush neatly nests into the pan for storage when the pan is in the up position and the handle latch will then easily snap onto the broom handle for storage. -

Answer: Yes, the broom handle length is adjustable according to your needs. And the longest length for the broom is 55 inches, 41.7 inches for the dustpan. -

Answer: Yes but it needs to be hung on a long nail because the dust bin does not fold up flat against the wall. and the dust bin is clumsy and sort of too tall and heavy for young girls and boys to use comfortably. I never will buy again.. -
