    Very pkeased
    Magnifying area us not fully usable. Only center due to obliqueness of lenses near edges. So the bigger the lense the more actual viewing capability.

    Better than Expected
    Overall . . . quite effective as a table-top magnifier. 10x is good for stamps, insects. removing splinters, etc. I wouldn't use it for reading, because the field isn't broad enough for the page of a book. The lens isn't glass, but it is heavy acrylic plastic and seems sturdy. The lights swivel, but they illuminate the field of view at the extreme angle. You could swap the magnifier for a tiny lamp shade, but I wouldn't buy it for just the LED lamp - there are better, brighter lamps available. I use it for pinning insects, and the working distance is perfect for me - just the height of the "head" at a 90 degree angle, or about 6.5" above the table top. The base is heavy, which keeps the magnifier from tipping. I would have only given 4 stars because it is mostly plastic, but then the price vs value is very good - so it's truly excellent in it's category. Note - an 8x version is available, and given the good quality of this unit, I would think the 8x would be better for reading with the book resting on the table.

    Magnifying Lamp ~ Good choice
    Very pleased with this product. I like that it plugs in (does not need batteries). Good magnification strength for me.

    Great light but not for cutting toenails.
    This is a great light and has a good magnifier but it just doesn't' work for cutting toenails. You have to get so close to the magnifier that it is difficult and my hip joints don't stretch they way anymore. It would be fantastic for fingernails but I don't need it for manicures. Just doesn't help me at all.

    Great Light with many uses for those of us who are seeing gracefully.
    Bought this light to see my toenails believe it or not! I am a senior trying my best to keep up with foot hygiene. I can't bring my legs up anymore, but can bend from the waste to reach my feet. Needed a magnifying light that had a good base to put on the floor. This light works for me. Slide my foot under and can see my toenails for clipping. No more worries on cutting my toe by mistake. I also use it as a table light to see small things when needed. Many uses...
