Question: How do you open the clamp? Instructions from other users are not helpful.
Answer: There is a groove in the part of the clamp that is not attached. Put ice in, pull the bag over the taped part of the clip flat and centered. Bend the clip at the hinge to go over the folded bag sitting on the other side of the clip. It is hard to clip and release but they do not leak. These are used in hospitals. -
Question: How to open clamp closure
Answer: I’m not really sure if I understand the question because it looks like most of it is missing. But it looks like someone wants to know about the closure. It’s a plastic clamp that has a hinge on one end and a “V”-clasp at the other end. To open it you push and hold the clasp in, pulling and releasing it. I’m not really sure what else i can even say about it. It’s a basic clip; you basically unclip it. -
Question: can these be used with hot water ?
Answer: I have not seen anything advising against use with hot water but I don't believe that is the intended use for these bags. These are the same as what were used during my knee surgery when I was in the hospital and I believe they are intended for use with crushed or pellet ice of some sort. I think there are other containers for use with hot water that would be more appropriate. -
Question: How do I open clamp?
Answer: Push the tab on the bottom back and it should open. -
Question: Can they be washed?
Answer: These are identical to the ice bags I used after knee surgery in the hospital and are a plastic bag with a very light fabric covering. You could probably wash the inside of the plastic bag by hand if you choose. I found them so inexpensive that I use three or four and of one sprang a leak I just threw it away. I think the same can be said of any external soiling. Frankly, I used mine for nearly six months and they never became soiled. -
Question: Can this be filled with water and then frozen?
Answer: No....then it becomes a large, huge block and non conforming. Also, dangerous for frost bite. I did fill with ice cubes, and after use with most ice remaining, drained the water and placed the remaining ice/bag in the refrigerator. They do begin to leak after about 3 uses. -
Question: How long are the straps?
Answer: The two straps at the top of the ice pack are 16.5 inches long and the other two straps are 12.5 inches long.
