      Answer: I am 5’4” and it feels a little high for me but is useable. I believe the tubes are aluminum and could be cut down to make it shorter without it losing its effectiveness, particularly if care is taken to disburse the shortening over all the links.

      Answer: I. have not had any issues with the handle coming loose, but have had the lock nut on the cane loosen up and needed to tighten it. The company was helpful when i had a question>
