Answer: SORRY FOR THE DELAYED RESPONSE! THERE ARE HOLES THAT WILL ALLOW LIQUID TOOTHPASTE TO GO THROUGH TO THE OTHER SIDE. IF YOU ARE USING A PASTE TOOTHPASTE, IT DOES NOT PENETRATE THE HOLES SO EASILY. I PUT THE PASTE TOOTHPASTE DIRECTLY INTO MY MOUTH! -
