    • Question: Does this product cause discoloration or fading of any sort?

      Answer: I did not experience any discoloration or fading from the use of this product.
    • Question: Is this product free of fabric softeners? I need a detergent to wash a Helly Hansen expedition parka and pants, but it must be free of softeners.

      Answer: From my research it doesn’t have softeners. I have washed several Gore-Tex jackets using this with no issues. I have washed one TNF Gore-Tex jacket 5+ times with no decrease in water repellency. You probably know fabric softener and other dyes and fragrances kill water proofing; a good practice is to run your washer through a few cycles to clear as much out residue out from your normal laundry loads. Other option is to clean your gear by hand using this product.
