Question: Does it work for young girls? Mine are 6 and this would be great for avoiding public restroom seats.
Answer: Tinkle Belle works much better than this product. My daughter has been using tinkle Belle since age 6. She is 9 now. We are extremely outdoorsy and active. Bathrooms aren’t always around. Try the tinkle Belle. Mom tries first then teaches the younger girls, in the bathtub for less mess. Tinkle Belle doesn’t even require pants to be pulled down at all. -
Question: What about wiping?
Answer: There’s a really great company called Kyla Cloth where you can get a reusable washable backpacking pee cloth for wiping. Seems like a perfect pairing with the GoGirl. -
Question: how do u compare gogirl and krista's cup pstyle?
Answer: I bought both and like both. The GoGirl is better at catching all the liquid, especially if you really have to go, so there might be a splash with the more rigid "trough" style. But the rigid ones are easier to position and smaller for getting into tighter clothing. This one, you need to actually have your hand between your legs to hold the cup against your body. That requires more undressing/more space in your clothing. If you are wearing loose clothes -- say a skirt or loose pants -- that's easy to do. But if you have thicker pants, jeans, or winter clothes, I think the trough-style is easier. -
Question: How do I use it without leaking?
Answer: Don't create a seal at both ends. For example, if you are peeing into a water bottle there needs to be a small amount of space between you and the device. Because the device resting on a standard water bottle mouth creates a seal that will prevent the urine from funneling down quickly. Aside from being angled poorly, that's the only way I've leaked. -
Question: Anyone make a storage option?
Answer: Carry a ZipLoc baggie with a couple squares of toilet paper in there, and you can wipe yourself, wipe the GoGirl, and then store it all together in a zipped up, waterproof and urineproof storage bag. I found the carrying tube an annoyance except for clean/backpack storage - once used, I prefer a ZipLoc carrying container until I can get it washed and dried. -
Question: how many ounces is the tube? it looks too small to hold the pee!
Answer: It is too small! Only use it if you don't have to go much or if you can stop and start your pee flow. If you have a full bladder or pee with a strong stream, then it will overflow! I've thought about cutting off the tip to allow more pee out faster, as the narrow opening really limits how much can pour out. -
Question: When in a car, can you remain seated, or would you have to kneel for it to work/not spill?
Answer: It works great for bottles. However, I would definitely suggest squatting. -
Question: Is it good for golf?
Answer: Depends on the golf course. In the NW we have old tall trees and towering bushes so no problem! Especially if you're wearing a skirt or kilt (leave your nickers at home). In Scotland with heather and thistle, a bit of a challenge. -
Question: This does not appear to work for women while seated in a car stuck in traffic on a bridge. Any better suggestions?
Answer: Stick your butt out the window. No one cares. -
Question: how does this work as far as trying to use it in a car?
Answer: Messy and hard. It will only work if you're wearing skirt but not if you have pants or shorts on. You need to keep your feet far apart and it's not even advisable in tight places like in the airplane bathroom. It would have been a good kit if the cup will be a little wider to catch the drip and the hose longer so it will be like you're peeing like a guy.
