Question: Is it thick enough and provides enough support for a sprained wrist or ankle?
Answer: It’s not very thick at all. You may get some support out of it if you do multiple layers but that would get uncomfortable. Also it would be a one time deal once you take it off it won’t hold as well. I would say use an ACE bandage.
