    • Question: I know that these are made for the arms, but can they be worn on the lower leg? I want a treated item that covers from ankle to knee.

      Answer: I don't think so. The openings might not be big enough for a foot to pass through and not snug enough once on for the best protection. They work very well on the arms. I bought the gators for the lower leg which work great. The holes stretch for easy on and off but are snug enough to protect against ticks.

    Easy on/easy off
    These arm guards work well. They are easy on/easy off. Not too hot on a 80 degree day. Deer ticks are a huge concern where we live, the arm guards give us some sense of protection.

    Worth every penny!
    I had hesitated getting into the garden with Lyme Disease so rampant in my area. Especially since deer frequently bed down in my yard. I purchased these arm gators along with the leg gators, sprayed my shoes with deet (only on my shoes since they won’t be in close contact with my skin) and had no issues with ticks. I did wear a long sleeve tee and long leggings so the gators weren’t against my skin either, but they were comfortable, adjustable, and seem to have worked! It might have just been luck that I didn’t see any critters on them, or on me, but it’s an extra precaution I was happy to take since they didn’t inhibit my movement and protected me from getting scratched by weeds and coming into contact with poison ivy as well.

    Fit is an issue
    It protects my arms well. However, it is one size fits all. Therefore, it is way too big for me and becomes cumbersome to wear.

    Great for yardwork!
    They seem to repel ticks when I'm working in the brush that surrounds my house. Before using them in conjunction with anti-tick spray on my shoes, socks, and lower pantlegs, I would find 3-4 ticks on me when cleaning up after the yard work... since using them, I have found none.
