Question: I am 5'3" ... will this cane adjust for my height?
Answer: Yes, it is adjustable for your height. I have to tell you though that i was disappointed with the base of this cane. It is not as big as i thought it would be and so it doesn't easily stand on its' own at times. I've gotten more used to it now but at first i hated it, since i got this cane to replace one that was always falling over! Next time I would look for one with a larger/wider base that stands on its own more easily. -
Question: Cane does not really feel sturdy. Does not seem to have a locking collar, is there any way to tighten it up?
Answer: It comes in four sections that slide together. It is sturdy enough for me, but not as sturdy as a solid piece of metal or wood. They tried to make it adjustable, but that part is hard to get to work right and probably contributes to the less than perfect sturdiness. I don't think it would collapse on you. -
Question: Can it be shortened to 30 inches?
