Customer Questions & Answers
-
Question: Can this be used by someone who only has one hand, please?
Answer: The challenge would be getting the sock on the aide. If you could stabilize the aide somehow (a clamp or under your leg) to get the sock positioned correctly, then I believe that a person with one hand could hold both ropes and pull the sock on the foot. The biggest issue would be how snug the socks are (snug socks are tough to get on the aide), and how you can secure the aide to get the sock on. -
Question: What are the shell dimensions? I bought another one of your sock aids that is too big for my socks.
Answer: I measured my sock aide to be 4.25 inches across the top, 3 inches top to bottom, 8 inches front to back. It is smaller than previous aides I have purchased. I worried it would be too small for my feet when I first looked at it, but it works well for me. I bunch the sock near the front of the aide and pull just the very top of the sock back along the aide. Then slide my foot in, and gently pull aide around my heel and up my calf to get sock on my foot.
