Answer: You put in a new battery. Mine is not rechargeable. -
Question: What kind of battery does it use. Is it included?
Answer: Yes, batteries were included. It uses lithium CR2032 or DL2032 -
Question: Is this meter backlit?
Answer: When taking a reading the screen will come up white with black lettering. -
Question: Will the test strips and lancets from a prior version of Countour work with this version? (My current one expired in 2018.)

Question: does this model use level 1 or level 2 test fluid and what is the difference?
Answer: Test fluids contain measured concentrations of glucose. Level 1 has lower concentrations of glucose, typically around a mid-50s mg/dl range. Level 2 has higher concentrations, typically around mid-150s mg/dl range. The glucose range should be printed somewhere on the bottle. At any time you can use either level 1 or level 2 depending on what glucose range you want to test.
