Question: I am an elementary teacher. is this something i can use to take temperature of students? would it matter if i used it inside or outside?
Answer: I think you could. It is very similar to the ones that are being used at various sites that now require temperature checks. I don’t think it matters if you use it inside or outside but if the air temperature is hot you may get a false reading from the individual. -

Question: How long do the batteries last if not used and/or in standby? Can you switch off the thermometer when not in use?
Answer: Our thermometer uses two AAA batteries. Generally, the service life of the AAA battery is 200-300 times. If the battery is removed without using a temperature meter, the battery life will be longer. The unit will shut down automatically after 12 seconds of no use . Or youcan keep pressing the Measure button for 6 seconds to turn off the thermometer. -

Question: Mine doesn't beep, and yes I have mute turned off. Does everyone else'es beep?
Answer: Mine doesn't beep either. Mine does not take correct temperature either. On my forehead, it will read 1/2 to 1 degree different, same place within 5 minutes.
