- Silver Calcium Alginate Dressing is a non-woven pad composed of high calcium alginate and silver particles, which absorbs wound exudate and releases silver in the presence of wound fluid. Dressing Size: 4.25 x 4.25 inches, 5 packs each box.
- Benefit to heal the wound better and faster than traditional wound gauze dressing. It can be cut and is suitable for difficult to dress areas. When in contact with wound fluid, conform closely to the wound bed, maintain a moist wound environment to support autolytic debridement.
- Minimize pain and trauma when changing the dressing, but remove fluid to keep the wound clean.
- Do not use for dry or lightly exuding wounds that may adhere to the dressing. Do not remove directly if the dressing is not easily removed, but moisten or immerse the dressing in saline to help remove it and prevent interruption of wound healing.
- Provide for chronic and acute wounds, full thickness, partial thickness or superficial granular exudative wounds, such as pressure ulcers, decubitus ulcers, leg ulcers, diabetic foot ulcers, surgical wounds, traumatic wounds, cavitated wounds.
