Question: Do these work for headaches in the back of the head?
Answer: My headache comes from the occipital nerve in the back of my head. Their entire lid was gelatinous and easily wrapped around my entire head. It keeps my migraines in there and the all-around compress with the gel helps! -
Question: Does this headache cap cover the entire head, or is it only focused on a specific area? Is there a cooling effect around the ears?
Answer: The area on the hat where your ears would sit is actually a fine mesh. So, no the ears do not actually garner as much of a cooling effect as the back of the head and the front. Though the cooling effect from the front and back does radiate to the parts of your head not covered by the gel portion of the hat, just not as intensely. However if that’s something you were looking for specifically you could always turn the hat sideways to target your ears, I imagine. -
Question: Do these block out light entirely and stay in place while you’re sleeping?
Answer: It does block out most light. However I used it as directed by my ophthalmologist for a eye infection, but never overnight. -
Question: I know there's an opening for hair on the top, but is there any cold therap gel actually on the top of your head, or is it more for securing placement
Answer: Hello! I am not sure I understand the last part of your question, but there is the cold gel all around the hat except on the top where there is an open spot for your hair. My son and I both have one of these and I cannot say enough good things about it. It is super comfortable. I love it. -
Question: How long does it keep cool?
Answer: I know it was a very long time! I run a fever when I have a migraine at I slept several hours. I have also grabbed it not out of the friggie and it helped the gel inside stays a bit cool. -

Answer: Have had mine now for 4 months. Its still like brand new. I could box it and sell it and no one would even know it was ever used. Hope this helps! -
Question: Can I keep gel packs in the refrigerator? Will they get very hardened?
Answer: I left mine a while in the refrigerator, it did not harden at all, it’s more like a soft foam inside is what it feels like, but it did get super cold and I actually had to wait a little bit for it to come down in temp slightly to put it on because it was just too cold. -
Question: Will wearing them over the eyes cause a lot of stress to the eyes?
Answer: No, it doesn't create pressure on the eyes, it actually blocks some light from getting in. The stress you feel is mainly when you put it on your head for the first time and haven't gotten used to it yet. There seems to be more pressure on the forehead area than anywhere else, but it works great for headaches/migraines. -
Question: .ine came today and the instructions say to place in a freezer bag and plave in refrigerator? I thought it goes in freezer?
Answer: Well I have mine the in a transparent bag and in the refrigerator all the time. -
Question: Can this migraine relief cap be heated?
Answer: I believe that the directions state that it can be heated in the microwave for heat therapy, but I keep my hat in the freezer for my usage and can not comment on the time needed or the effectiveness of the heat method.
