Question: will this work on chrome on salon style chair bases?
Answer: Yes our product is safe to use on chrome, or stainless steel, only. No other metals/finishes & is effective in dissolving mineral deposits caused by hard water (calcium/lime) and/or rust. -
Question: I have a brass stove hood that has gotten tarnished. Will this safely remove the tarnish?
Answer: Our CLR PRO Calcium, Lime and Rust Remover is specifically formulated to dissolve mineral deposits caused by hard water (calcium/lime) and/or rust. It does not remove tarnish & cannot be used on brass. Our Tarn-X Tarnish Remover is formulated to remove tarnish but can only be used on precious metals such as Sterling Silver, Silver Plate, Platinum, Copper or Gold. Question: Will this remove calcium and other minerals on swimming pool tile?
Answer: We do not recommend using any of our products on any material associated with a pool (either on the inside or outside). Our product can never come into contact with chlorine or it will create a poisonous gas. We recommend contacting a professional pool maintenance expert for their recommendation for safe and effective products to use to remedy the mineral deposits you’re experiencing. -
Question: an you clean hard water spots on windows with this?
Answer: We recommend spraying this product into a damp cloth or sponge (not directly on the glass of the window) & hand applying it to the GLASS ONLY part of the windows (avoiding any contact with the frame, trim or track of the window as our product is not usually compatible with those materials). After our product has been sitting on the stains/glass for no longer than 2 minutes, take a clean sponge and clear cold water using the same method to hand remove our product from the glass. Do not spray the glass as you are certain to get our product on materials not intended. Note: Due to the natural density and hardness of calcium as a mineral, if you are unable to scrape any residue off topically using a fingernail or razor blade, the calcium can actually etch the glass and embed itself into the material of the glass. If this has happened, there is no remedy for this. -
Question: Will this clear rust around a drain cap?
Answer: Yes, our CLR PRO Calcium, Lime & Rust Remover will remove rust, however it can only be used on drain caps made of chrome or stainless steel only (no other metals/finishes) and on tubs/shower/sinks made of porcelain or fiberglass only (no natural or synthetic stone or plastics such as acrylic or vinyl). -
Question: Can I use on a fish tank
Answer: Our CLR PRO Calcium, Lime and Rust Remover is safe to use on the glass only part of a fish tank, being careful not to get our product on the silicone seals or other materials associated with a fish tank. -
Question: Does this work on brick?
Answer: While our CLR PRO Calcium, Lime and Rust Remover can be used on brick, extreme caution needs to be taken. Since brick is naturally made of calcium, anytime you use a calcium remover on something naturally made of calcium you run the risk of pulling out a natural component of the brick, resulting in a pigment alteration (turning light or dark). We always recommend spot testing first. Do not use on tinted, painted or coated brick. -

Question: is this safe for porcelain crock pot ?
Answer: While our CLR PRO Calcium, Lime and Rust Remover is safe to use on porcelain, it's specifically formulated to dissolve mineral deposits caused by hard water (calcium/lime) and/or rust & does not removed baked on food normally found as residue in a crock pot. -
